Sandisk announced a 128 GB microSD card at Mobile World Congress, but
took pains to point out that the card wad designed for Android
handsets, saying:
Ideal for Today’s Smartphone and Tablet Users Designed for Android™ smartphones and tablets, the new SanDisk Ultra microSDXC card provides consumers the highest storage capacity available in a removable form factor. Ideal for shooting Full HD video and high-quality pictures, the 128GB SanDisk Ultra microSDXC card delivers twice the speed of ordinary microSD memory cards3 and offers the highest video recording performance available.
It appears however that the card may be of use to Windows Phone users, with WPC member NoRomBasic claiming the card is working perfectly fine in his Nokia Lumia 1520
He reports the card benchmarks 20% faster than the SanDisk Ultra
microSDXC 64GB and that the handset records HD video to the card without
the hiccup commonly seen with other microSD cards.
The card is very affordable for the storage it offers, being available at Amazon for only $119.99.
With Windows Phone 8.1 offering even better support for microSD
