Video Tutorial: How to install Nokia Camera and Nokia Refocus app on Non-PureView Lumia Phones

| |
Nokia recently released its all-in-one advance camera app Nokia Camera and new Lytro-style camera app Nokia Refocus for high-end Lumia PureView smartphones, leaving other Lumia users in frustration. Luckily, there is quick and easy hack available to install these app on non-PureView Lumia WP8 smartphones.
  1. Uninstall the Pro Cam and Smart Cam first
  2. Install SysApp Pusher
  3. Connect to your WiFi and in Settings > WiFi tap your connection.
  4. Turn on Proxy and enter 103.13.29.118 (Alternative proxy: 117.135.139.179) in the Server box and 8888 in the Port box and save the setting.
  5. Go to Settings > Date+Time select any United States time zone.
  6. Then in Settings > Language+Region select your region as United States.
  7. In the same Settings page hit Restart Phone.
  8. After your phone restartsopen SysApp Pusher select Nokia Camera or Refocus app
  9. You should now get the option to Install. Hit install, but it will probably fail (again may take some time). Don’t worry. Keep the Store window open by hitting the Windows button, go toSettings>WiFi. Tap your WiFi connection and switch off Proxy.
  10. Hit the phone’s Back button to get back to the installation page in the Windows Phone Store and select Install/Update again. This time it should work.
  11. Don’t forget to change your phone settings back to your Time Zone and Region and restart the device.
Note: Nokia Camera is coming to the rest of the WP8 Lumia range along with the Lumia Black update early next year.
