Couple of weeks back we heard that the next Nokia Lumia update following Microsoft WP8 GDR3 will be called “Bittersweet Shimmer”. Now a reader has posted some more screenshots running “Lumia Bittersweet Shimmer” WP8 OS Build 10484, which is taken from a Lumia 920 developer device picked up on Craig’s List.
The device appears to be a Lumia 920 with firmware based from India, features confirmed from screenshots are:
Screen orientation lock
Driving mode
Ability to close apps via the multi-tasking (by tapping a visible ‘X’ in the upper right hand corner)
According to the Source GDR3 update will also include the following features:
Custom sounds for text, voice mail, e-mail, and reminders
Restore over Wi-Fi when you reset your phone
Huge amount of work on Bluetooth with various vehicles and devices
Driving Mode
Screen rotation lock
‘X’ to close out apps in multitasking
Icon for multitasking apps
General performance improvements
1080P Display support (for new devices)
Support for new Qualcomm chipsets.
